We lost my best friend's mother to cancer this month. :(
This wallpaper is my little dedication to her. The flowers are for her.

Wallpaper for July

" Rainnnn.. Rainnnnn.. Go away.. Come again some other day!" This used to be my mantra during the rains. The gods did listen to me but send the rains back on some other day with a vengence. It rained and how!

So now I just say that the Gods are crying... :D

Hmm.. Sigh! Not that I hate the rains.. It's great that everything gets washed and looks clean as ever. . however traveling is a big disaster!
Muck and dirt everywhere! Gosh.. Just a week of heavy rains completely changes the look of the roads! And then the flooding follows...

Anyways not the rains but the thought of venturing out into the concrete amazon ( so I term it) makes me blue during the monsoons..

Anyways.. May was a very hectic month for me.. Professionally and personally as well.
I now have niece. Her name is Nysa and she is an angel. Adorable to the core. So when I was not working in May, I was playing the role of a doting aunt. :) She has the most gorgeous smile ever. Hee.. I am in love all over again! :)
And the above wallpaper is a kind of dedication to her.
All of us in my family are like the bee however "Nysa" is like the teddy and is in her own zone right now and her honey is "Sleep". Waiting for my sleeping beauty to grow up a little....

Wallpaper for April

I went for short vacation to Chandigarh. Beautiful city.. So peaceful. Hardly heard any cars honking. And amazing greenery.. Fresh, colourful flowers everywhere one went.. so pretty..
I took some pictures and the one below is my favorite of the lot.. I captioned it " Happy Happy flowers."
And I love it so much that I converted it into my wallpaper for the month. Yellow and orange seem to be the colours of the season for me.. :)

Summer time

Can you feel the heat nowadays?
I quite like it! Everyday is bright sunny day! :)
I have a twelve year old nephew. He wanted to play a colour game. He asked me to list down all the colours that I do not like on a piece of paper.
My list after about fifteen minutes was still blank. I realized that there isn't one colour that I don't like. I love some more than the others but dislike none.
Here is a wallpaper with some summer colours for you. Yellow, Orange, Red and the very bright white. Don't they all look super together? :)

I am not a feminist.
However I strongly believe that power, position and age do not give anyone the rights to undermine another person. Nothing does!
Hmm.. last evening over a long walk at Carter road, me and a couple girl friends shared our collective experiences of certain episodes that we've faced in the past.
I am not saying that girls struggle more than guys because I believe that times have changed and each person gets a chance to prove themselves. So ultimately it is up to them to take it or leave it.
However there are still some people out there who belong to the old school of thoughts. These are the ones who "still" give girls grief. *roll eyes*
Hmm.. So this month I decided to hoot for Girl power..
" Go Gurlzzz ! " :)
I created the above wallpaper based on this theme. The result I say is gonna be one of my all time favorites. :)
